Peggy Ashton, CPA, EA
Owner/Founder
Peggy has been serving clients in the Central Valley for over 30 years. Peggy graduated from Westmont College, Santa Barbara with a BA in Economics and Business. She studied Accounting at Golden Gate University, San Francisco. She has worked in public accounting and corporate accounting space for over 30 years. She became a partner of Hodges Ashton in January, 2017, and later became sole owner of her firm after her former partner’s retirement. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Elizabeth Dancer, CPA
Elizabeth (Beth) joined Ashton & Co in January of 2025. She was raised in Fresno, California and received her BS in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and later completed her accounting education at Fresno State. She began her career in Houston, TX at PwC in the federal tax group, specializing in income tax compliance, reporting, and tax special projects for large corporations. She then joined industry for 8 years in the tax department of Westlake Corporation, a Houston-based fortune 500 company, and manufacturer of chemicals and building products. At Westlake she was primarily dedicated to income tax compliance, tax technology – focusing on integrating acquired companies’ into Westlake’s systems and processes, and other tax special projects. She is now back in Fresno, where she is focusing her attention on small businesses and individual tax compliance. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and watching her son play sports.
Melissa Miranda, CPA
Melissa is a certified public accountant (CPA) and has seen the company evolve over the years to what is now Ashton & Co CPA. Most of her career has been in the public accounting industry. She graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.
